Choral Director

After earlier experiences working with parish church choirs, the boys of Carlisle Cathedral, Carlisle Choral Society and assisting with choral classes and the Academy Chamber Choir at the RSAMD, Jeremy took up the newly-created post of Director of Music at Northampton RC Cathedral in 2001 and established a lively programme involving 50 singers presenting concerts and choral and singing workshops throughout the diocese. He later combined this with the post of Acting Director of Music at All Saints', Northampton, where he directed the choirs' daily choral activity and produced a recording of French choral music on the Lammas label as well as arranging and directing a choir tour, teaching, coaching and running a recital series.

Jeremy is currently director of Stamford Choral Society and was, until the summer of 2010, Director of Music at All Saints', Stamford where he quickly built up the choir's reputation through the quality of its weekly performance, concerts and regular performances in other churches and cathedrals. His vital and energetic approach has been key to the reinvigoration of these two important organisations in Stamford's musical life. Examples of his choral work can be found in the Audio section of this site.
